New Virginia Majority Endorses Steve Heretick for House of Delegates 79th District

Alexandria, VA—New Virginia Majority endorses candidate Steve Heretick for House of Delegates in the June 9th Democratic primary. Heretick is running to represent the 79th House of Delegates District that contains Portsmouth and parts of Norfolk.

New Virginia Majority supports candidates who are champions of working families, who will put the needs of people first, and who will ensure that every Virginian has an equal opportunity to participate in our democracy.

“We are confident that Steve will fight to make sure that all Virginians have the opportunity to succeed and be healthy, productive members of our communities,” said Tram Nguyen, co-executive director. “At the top of that list is expanding Medicaid to ensure that all Virginians can have access to affordable health care so that they don’t have to make the hard choices between going to the doctor and putting food on the table.”

“I am delighted and particularly proud of New Virginia Majority’s endorsement of my candidacy. Virginians deserve far better than what they’ve received in the General Assembly for some time now,” stated Heretick. “With NVM’s support, I will lend my voice to a new generation of Virginia leadership who value people over politics, and genuine achievement over incumbent self-protection.”
